Northwest Radiology Network Welcomes Vascular and Interventional, Diagnostic Radiologist Dr. Kelly Mortell

Image of Dr. MortellNorthwest Radiology Network welcomes Kelly Mortell, M.D., who is subspecialized in vascular and interventional as well as diagnostic radiology.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., Dr. Mortell received her Doctor of Medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine.

She completed a diagnostic radiology residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at Brown University’s Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I.

She has served as a vascular and interventional radiologist with Beacon Medical Group in South Bend and Beacon Medical Group Vein Specialists in Granger, Ind. She has worked for Radiology, Inc., as a vascular and interventional radiologist as well as a diagnostic radiologist, serving Elkhart General Hospital and Goshen Hospital. She has also worked for Radiology of Indiana, both as a vascular and interventional radiologist as well as a diagnostic radiologist, serving hospitals throughout the Indianapolis area.

Certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Mortell is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology.

She has contributed to several publications and presentations on topics including sublobar resection versus thermal ablation for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer; coblation for metastatic vertebral disease; percutaneous CT-guided cryoablation of the celiac plexus in the palliative treatment of pancreatic cancer; and evaluation of efficiency of secretin (RG 1068) assisted CT and MRI in improving pancreatic enhancement and tumor conspicuity.
